Hello from Michigan's U.P.

I'm new here and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am from Michigan and I am a huge Yankees fan. Everyone thinks I jumped on the wagon just because the Yankees are winning. The truth is that the first World Series I watched was in 1996, I didn't have a favorite team, and at the time everyone liked the Atlanta Braves. They were concidered "America's Team". I always rooted for the underdog, and in '96, the Yankees were down in the series and everyone thought the Braves were going to win. So I wanted the Yankees to win. And when Charlie Hayes made the winning catch, I was hooked and on board for an amazing run that I will never forget. Now, I will forever be a Yankees fan. I look forward to interacting with other Yankee fans and sharing my opinions with you.

don't worry about it!! I STILL feel like everyone thinks I'm a bandwagon fan, 'cause I wear my hat evrywhere, what with all the WS wins of late, but I've been a fan for 24 years! (Geez, I feel old to say that!!)

Hey, it's fun in here, enjoy yourself, immerse yourself in the mystique that *is* the New York Yankees. Learn all you can about this team and especially their rich, colorful history, and 24 years from now, you too will be able to look back and say, "Aaah, those were the days!!"

Believe me, once a Yankee, always a Yankee...it's the love of the game!

This is a fun bunch in here, and I can't wait to see how the 2001 season progresses!
