like i've been sayin for the past 3 years, childs was the best (read - only) point guard we had but that dope van baldy was too blind too see it... no, he ain't no allstar, but compared to the preacher / ex florida state heisman qb charlie wart, at least childs was a REAL point guard... he's got handle, he plays dee, and he snuffed kobina bryant w/ a classic 1, 2 combo that ali wouldda been proud of... what else can you ask of a new york point guard...
but he never was good enough (read, SQUARE enough) to please our boring, uninspiring, unimaginative, riley worshipping, alonzo mourning leg dangling, honda civic driving millionaire (talk about cheap), former division 3 point guard, shouldda stayed INTERIM, coach van dopey... in other words he didn't kiss up to his baldness... just quietly professionally went out and followed orders... every single play had to be instructed from van ego.... and people wonder why we can't score more than 80 a night...
van ................head... the same genius that bashed cambyman as not being oakleyesque enough (read - slow, vertically challenged, non dunking, non shotblocking, and defensive butch).... the same genius that wouldn't start spree, because of his love for another square, lame, no heart having, GOOD GUY, allan punk houston... the same genius that finally gets a 10 assist a night assist man in mark jackson, but keeps him on the bench in favor of the same big court he supposedly hates.... and people think this bum's a good coach...
he's a BUM!!! you got lj out there strugglin' because he's finally off the roids that allowed him to get his first 2 knick dunks earlier this season yet, harrington clearly was playing with more energy and certainly would have been the better matchup vs the athletic big raptor front court... van gundy's an idiot... it's really humiliating, as a knicks fan watching van dildo waste a very talented group of players... it's basketball malpractice...
i said it then & i'll say it again, grunfeld should not have been the one to lose his job... he wasn't the one who couldn't inspire his team to play better, consistent basketball... he wasn't the one so in love with riles, that he hasn't changed anything about us since we had that slow athletically challenegd team featuring old ass pat, starks and oakley...
it wasn't until pat broke down that he was forced to play camby and spree more that we satrted winning... it wasn't until the players took over and saved his job... but he sucks man... he sucks real bad... if steiny were running this team, w/ the amount of dough invested, van "get off my leg" wouldda been axed a long time ago...
another thing, houston better be wearing sonic green or sacramento purple by the summer... he's starting to remind me of charles smith... trade him and throw in the preacher and van dumbass for c webb or payton...
the worst part of all of this, is that i had to watch this in a miami bar surrounded by a bunch of moron heat fans... ugghhhh the humiliation... :(
