Why is A-Rod better than both Manny and Nomar? That's what the Bosox are doing and it seems that you get rid of 2 .320+ hiiters with good power for 1 .320+ hitter with good power. A-Rod's defense may be better than Nomar's by 5%, but A-Rod has never been worth his price.

Why do it?

arod is not better than manny and nomar. arod, prospects (and/or a 2B), and a leftfielder are better than manny and nomar.

You know the Sux they are so desperate they'll do anything to outdo the Yankees and therefore automatically think they'll finally win that elusive World Series win.

Does'nt make much sense to me either that Texas would be willing to take on a headcase the size of Manny. I cant imagine either Manny or Nomar wanting to play in Texas since they both have ambitions to win a championship and Texas just is'nt the place to do so in my opinion.

Name one player making over 20 million a year that's worth it?

For everything A-ROD offers and Everything Nomar offers..I would take Jeter any day of the week and twice as many days in the Post over those two.

Manny? I can think of many bats I would rather have, a few arms I would rather have and a hell of alot of attitudes I would rather see in pinstripes than his.

Personally I think he is an over rated clonw not worth his salary. He is Raul Mondesi with a better bat.

I could care less where any of them wind up as long as it's not in Yankee Blue.

these are extremely unfounded comments...you would take jeter over Arod? i'm sure you're speaking out of pure loyalty, because any argument about offense or defense would get your laughed off this board.

you can think of "many bats" you'd rather have? i can think of three, maybe; bonds, pujols, and arod. other than them, manny is the best hitter in the game, no question about it:

OPS
2001 1.014
2002 1.097
2003 1.014

doesn't look like he's slowing down, either. your attitude issue with him holds water, but you can't make blanket statements about "better bats" and such without backing them up. in this case, i don't think you can.

and there's absolutely no reason to call him an "overrated clown." nobody overrates this guy; he may do a lot of talking, but he puts his stick where his mouth is and puts up huge numbers every year. your attacks are completely unneccessary and baseless.
