And Another Sports Off Season Withdrawal is Ending!!!!!!!
I think this weekend is the Trucks! And Sunday February 18th is the First NASCAR Race of the Season!!!!!!
Smiles & Hugs!
When I was in the Army I lived with a reneck for a couple of months, and when I say redneck, I meand as red as it gets.
Anyway, this guy loved NASCAR, even had an old tire covered by pexiglass that he used as a coffe table.
NASCAR was on TV 24/7 and I finally went to a race with him on the infield.
I HAD A BLAST!!!
For one, it's a weekend affair.
Two days of beer drinking, girls flashing, and some guys driving cars fast in a circle.
Good Luck In the Winston Series Guys!!!!
Especially Mark Martin!!!!!
I love to watch the Fords Race Around that "Circle"!!!!
And this year they added another one for Ford to Run Circles around this is the first year in awhile that Dodge has returned!!!! Now its Ford, Chevy, Pontiac (:barf: Jeff "Rainbow" Gordon)& Dodge!!!!!
Gentlemen Start Your En-Gines :D!!!!!
Dear Lord, deliver me from NASCAR....aaarrrggghhh.
I love NASCAR, especially the Winston Cup series.
My son and I try to go to one or two far distant races each year. We have been to Nazareth (PA), Pocono Raceway, Dover Downs, Taledega, Darlington, Daytona, Indy, and Watkins Glen. I am sure I am missing others.
So far we have tickets for the Craftsman Truck series race at Nazareth and are trying to make up our minds where to go this year for a Winston Cup race. We're thinking of the second Daytona race in July, the Sears Point race in Sonoma CA, the California Speedway race west of LA, or possibly the race in Phoenix.
Other choices are out because they conflict with either my son's wedding in April or one of the fishing trips I have already scheduled or the three week cruise with mt wife already booked.
I really enjoy racing, far better that watching someone hit a golf or tennis ball.
Daytone 500 this weekend. I am psyched.

You know I am looking forward to Daytona, I was watching qualifying last week and thinking the same thing...another withdrawal ending! My favorite time of year is coming - baseball, racing, hockey and hoops playoffs - I love summer! :)
Nome - you should go to the June race at Pocono - JP & I will be there for the third year in a row. Although my friend Jill goes to California every year and says it is a beautiful track, so if you have the chance, why not?
We have been to about three races in Pocono. This year the two races are June 17th and July 29th.
I can't make the July race. I will be in Britiish Columbis 300 miles north of Vancouver trying to hit into a few King Salmons, Halibut and Pacific Cod, but we are debating about the June race. I will probably decide that question by the end of next week.
