I guess you can add the Bills too. My Q is, is there a rivalry between the Giants and the Jets? Like there is between the Mets and Yanks.

I'm similar to you, MrJ. I don't really care too much about the Jets one way or another. Now Dallas on the other hand...
I never really felt much of a rivalry- I guess it's the two different league thing-though that doesn't stop me from hating the Mets!!! I guess I'm more of a Jets fan-I went to Hofstra where the Jets train and knew some of them back in the late 70's and early 80's- Godwin Turk once got me and my friend Julie lunch- but I don't dislike the Giants at all- I'm rooting for them!

I volunteer to be the exception that proves the rule....Yankees, Jets, Islanders here.
Born and raised in NYC - I grew up a Yankee, JET and Ranger fan...I am proud to be an exception.

i always liked 'broadway joe,' so i grew up yanks/jets. then again, i grew up on the west coast and i don't follow (ok, understand;)) football at all. so i guess lots of us are exceptions....

last i checked there was only one professional football team in new york... that gang green infected, pathetic excuse for a football team known as the j-e-t-s are good for a few laughs, when we're mocking their sox and cubs like fans, but will never be taken seriously in this league, except by their similarly gang green infected fans... i think that gang green does something to your mind.... sorta like syphylis... wish they'd just go back to shea w/ those other LOSERS...

The only football team in MIami that doesn't suck is the Hurricanes.....And if I'm not mistaken, didn't that Jets team that nobody takes seriously kick blowfish ass TWICE this year??

oh yeah how many times did the sox beat the yanks, in the regular season... that's the afc east champions you're talking about... regular season means nuthin... see j-e-t-s expectations are too low to ever be succesful... there happy just havin a winning season for a change... thanks to my ex coach who decided to adopt the sorriest most snakebitten team in the nfl... but even he, who won 2 superbowls w/ my giants and took the sorry ass patsies as far as the superbowl, even the big katuna himself couldn't shake those sorry scrubs from shea of their losing ways... if parcells can't help you, you're bad... real bad... so bad ya scared away 3 coaches and a gm in a year... so bad over the hill bums like cox ain't sure he wants to stay despite like 7mil on the table.. i don't blame him.. imagine bustin your ass all game (as slow as he is he's gotta work extra hard) just to watch cousin vinny throw directly to the opponent 5 times a game.. my ganggreen infected friend thinks vinny's on the take... maybe we should call him vinny the bull...

Im one who is glad to see the Jets have won more games this season then they have in the past! It was almost like ol old times!!!!:)
But Im also glad the Giants are in the Superbowl! And even though I probably wont be watching every play (hubby isnt a football fan!) Ill have my mind set on them winning Sunday!
