He has chosen the Atlantic league, either the Newark Bears, Somerset Patriots or the Camden entry.
You suppose he's doing it to prove he can still play, and possibly be picked up later in the year when he's needed by a major league team?

I would say that's probably his motivation, besides the fact that he's still in great shape and wants to play ball.

He would be a good fit for the Orioles.

Hey, at least he loves the game. Egotistical as he might be, you've got to give him that, he's willing to work for minimum wage ect. That surprises me.

And I didn't say he wasn't. All I said was that you need to give him credit, a future first-ballot HOF willing too be the 5th OF on some team for $300,000. He obviously loves the game.

Yes, I understand that, but he doesn't need the money, he could retire now and be comfortable for the rest of his life, but instead he makes his career look bad by playing in minor leagues all for the love of the game. I don't like Rickey Henderson, not one bit, in fact I dislike him very much, but I feel that he should be given credit for this at least.
