Question for the high exalted commish....

Do the stats for your bench players count if you don't put them in your starting lineup??? (sorry if this is dumb)

Not the commish ;) but I refer you to: Fantasy Point Leagues (http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/baseball/brules/brules-06.html) which states:

"Fantasy points, which are only awarded to starting players on your team, are tallied throughout the season."

oh ok. A guy I work with is in a league and we got to talking about our teams. He mentioned his bench players rack up points along with his starting lineup which I thought was weird. So I figured I'd ask, because then my strategy would have changed.

That IS weird. I've never heard of a league where a bench player accumulates points...he might be mistaken. For example, in Yahoo Fantasy Football, they calculate how many points everybody accumulated -- including those on your bench (so you can kick yourself when your 3rd string receiver was worth more points than one of your starters) but the points "earned" by your bench are not included in your weekly total.

I just talked to him about it. I showed him the rules in the link you posted (thanks again). He used the wrong terminology when we spoke. He said he has 25 starting players. They all rack up points. Then he's got like 8 reserves or something. Man, that's alot to juggle and keep track of. :eek:

actually i won last year by benchin all of my best players (which don't say much for the comp)

if i were you, i'd immediately bench shnozmah, pudge, klesko, and colon... actually the more i think on it, ya may wanna wait to implement my top secret winning formula, til week 14... :smokin: :D :cool:
