This is really annoying. I just can't get images to appear in a thread. The images are publicly available on a free web server (150m.com, in case you're wondering), and I can browse direct to the .jpgs with Explorer, so they're definitely there. But despite following the instructions on the forum, I only get a red 'x'. There must be a damn obvious step that's been explained thousands of times to pathetic newbie forumers, but I don't know it. Any advice?

Is it possible that 150m.com doesn't want me linking to images from outside the webpage? Is that even technically possible? Argh, quite frankly.

I think that's possible.. but you should try going to your user control panel and click on "edit options", there's gotta be an option "show image attachments..." and make sure to check "yes" there.

Yeah, it's activated. One more go:http://image1ex.villagephotos.com/pubimage.asp?id_=630988

Thanks for helping, anyway. Guess I ought to look to a new hosting server. Any recommendations?

you could always just attach the image.. as long as it's small enough

Can anyone now see the image (yellow text on blue) in my previous post? I switched image host, and it seems a little more effective, but I'd like to check that I'm not the only one that can see the image. Please post and let me know.

Some more tries:

Boz, you're right, but I'm working on some polishing for the newsletters, and asking readers to download images seems a bit clunky. But I may resort to that if this effort fails.

Thanks, Coney. Sorry that your logo is so blah, but I found it difficult to create one that used your colors (yellow on blue) with an 'm' and a 'w' interlocking.

If anyone would like to create a logo for their team (I suggest Photoshop), feel free to send it to me. Small - 20x20 pixels; Medium - 100x100 pixels, Large - however large you like. ALL images in .jpg format, please. I should have done this earlier in the season, but the rigors of an actual life intervened. I'll use the logos in a variety of ways - mainly newsletters and season round-ups for now, maybe more later.

I'll create some for everyone, hopefully, so don't worry about it. My instinct is simply to use the team colors that people have specified on Yahoo, along with their team initials. Cheesy, perhaps, but it's not like I'm charging you, ya ingrates, ya.
