Who was the Dodger Player who took a Goose Gossage Fastball in the head in the 81 World Series?
Ron Cey.
I cheered as he twitched on the ground.

Ron Cey,the Dodger 3rd baseman who looks like a penguin took it on the old beaner.
Sorry Chris,
but how can anyone cheer when someone gets hit in the head with a pitched ball?
I saw Bob Porterfield, a Yankee pitcher in the early 50's get beaned in a game at Yankee stadium. I saw Herb Score get hit by a line drive hit by Gil McDougald that ruined what appeared to be a great career in, I think, 1955. And of course I saw the Piazza beaning.
I could never feel good when a player gets hit in the head. What's wrong with you???
Andy:eek:    :( :( :( :( :( :(

Yeah, when Cey went down I shuddered. Even with the helmet on, he took quite a hit from Goose. Judging from Cey's comments afterwards, he sounded like baseball was secondary and that he just felt lucky to be alive!!

I don't know what's wrong with me, maybe I'm just a mean spirited scum bag. Maybe I just didn't know better because I was 11.
I was also at the game when Clemens hit Piazza, I was concerned for him. Maybe I liked Piazza better, maybe I matured. I don't know.
