View Full Version : My Appologies

I just read JimF's post and realized he is right. Therefore:

I extend my appologies to all of those dedicated, knowledgable and objective fans of the Yankees (and Mets) who may have taken offense to my disparaging remarks concerning New York. I was sucked into responding in a negative way to some ( in my opinion ) inappropriate remarks by others on the board. I figured if they wanted to
get nasty, so can I. ( And by the way, I could have come back a lot harder. )

I have been trying to restrain myself and will try to do a better job of it in the future.

Just so that I eliminate some of the guessing, let me make a few things clear. Then if you want to shut me down, so be it.

I have been to ball games in a lot of different parks while living and traveling in different areas of
the country. I like good, CLEAN baseball and I like competitive mix within the league.

I am not in love with the Red Sox as some of you may think.

I follow the local baseball of the area I am in to learn charater of the fans.

I think dissenting opinions are good for discussion.

I don’t like the fact that baseball, like so many other professional sports has become a game that is dominated by the wealthiest of owners to the detriment of the weaker markets.

I enjoyed the inspired play that the Yankees showed when they were dominant even though they may have violated the above complaint of buying the best team.

I also enjoy antagonizing people who are so rabid in their devotion to a specific team that they can no longer see the truth, people who have no objectivity.

That’s it.

Again, my apologies to those who are objective and may have taken offense. That leaves you out Seahorse. Nothing for you here. :P
