View Full Version : Non Yankee posters?
Why do you allow non Yankee fans to post ? This section should be for Yankee fans only.I suggest that you find another place for other fans to post.I find it very annoying.
The way I look at it is, what is the difference? As long as they are a fan of the game, and have something intelligent to add to the conversation, I don't see the problem with it. In fact, I welcome anybody to post as long as they are respectful and have something to add. I'm not about to restrict this forum to only Yankee fans, because having a differing opinion weigh in on a topic is a good thing.
I really don't know what to tell you - I haven't seen any posts from a fan of another team that were the least bit rude, disrespectful, or unintelligent. If I had, I can assure you it would have been dealt with.
The only thing I can say is that if you are annoyed by their posts, don't read them. Just because they are not a Yankee fan doesn't mean that they are not capable of adding to a conversation.
If you want, feel free to provide me with an example of someone posting something that is not constructive, and I will deal with it. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.
We have to be baseball fans, not just Yankee fans.

I agree Jim, but it gets to a point where non Yankee fans become arrogent and simply don't care but yet they are registered so they don't give a fluck. This is a Yankee site not a site for \people to say and do stuipid crap to piss us off......
Jim,you obviously have not read Pedro Power very much.

Actually, I didn't like PP when he first came here, but that was only because he first showed up right around the time that the Sox and the Yanx were playing eachother, so it's no wonder every single one of his posts were "Yankees Suck" "Red Sox will win it all. 1918 my ass!" etc.
But now that that whole series is over, I think PP has revealed himself to be a very intelligent baseball fan... yeah, he hate the Yankees but what Red Sox fan doesn't? And everything he says is really very sarcastic and for the most part in jest, even during the Yanx-Boston series. And who could blame him for supporting his team? (Though I think he could find better ways to waste his time, but if that's what floats his boat...) It's just the fact that on a computer you can't express emotions nearly as well as the spoken voice, even with all the smileys. So it's very easy for any comment to be misconstrued to mean something totally different than the original intention. And I'm not just talking about his posts, I mean in general. Let the other 29 teams have a voice. Just make sure they legitimately have something to say, and aren't here just to send the forum up in smoke.
i DON'T MIND OTHER FANS, BUT IT HAS GOTTEN TO A POINT WHERE THEY WILL SAY STUFF AND DO STUFF THAT ISN'T APPROPRIATE. i AGREE pEN WITH THE EMOTIONS GIG
I don't mind fans, but it gotten to a point where they will say stuff and do stuff that isn't appropriate. I agree Pen with the emotions Gig, but sometimes you can tell just by what they say. Not jusat one time, but over and over agfain. I think that is why M&M is feeling the way he/she is.
Hey M&M we need to chat to get to know each other.......
we need smart fans anot arrogent fans....

Having some non-Yankee fans here IMPROVES this site. They add a different perspective.
Nobody wants a flame war, including me. Nothing beats good baseball discussions and certainly fans from other teams can add to it.
As far as Pedro goes, I think he's been a plus here. Although we all know how horribly misguided he is with his loyalty to the biggest chokers in the history of professional sports, he does add a bit of life to the site.
That's just my opinion...I could be wrong. ;)

Butnud, I've read your conversations with Pedro Power, and he is not the one being arrogant...
PA, you are absolutley correct. I couldn't have said it any better myself.
If anything, I have noticed an increase in the activity, the level of conversation, the participation, and the quality of this board since Pedro Power has started posting here. The fact that he has a whole topic about him proves that point. He has achieved his goal of getting under our skin, and he has helped me achieve my goal by getting people involved.
I have never read ANYTHING by Pedro Power that was inappropriate - anything that could have been misconstrued as inapproprtiate was moved or edited (and there wasn't much). When he first started posting, I got emails telling me how bad he was being in a certain post. I reviewed the entire thread, and the only posts that were the least bit inappropriate were those of our members. I didn't see anything of his that warranted being edited.
And please, in the future, if anybody is going to start a thread that singles out one individual, please contact me via email, as it is rude and "inapproriate" to discuss matters such as this in public.

Jim,
In the way way beginning I gave PP a chance. Then he started knocking on our Yanks and said that Pedro is all that. Pedro is good, but he isn't the whole team. The way I saw PP coming across was that the Red Sox are the best and he wouldn't see that the Sox and Yanks were in a pennent race to see who was the best. But then things started to fall for our Yanks.
Then he/she made the comment about me "coming out of the closet." Correct me if I am wrong, but you is the arrogent one there. So all in all he started the flame, but to some degree I kept it going. I am sorry for that part, but as for flaming our Yanks when we are already heating up by bad pitching, I strongly suggest that non-Yankees better leave their big mouthes shut.
