After a slow start in his first year of AA, Alex Graman seems to have come full circle, and he won his 11th decision last night in the Navigators 8-0 win over New Haven.
He threw 8 shutout innings allowing 4 hits, 2 walks and striking out 7.
Graman and Brandon Claussen have combined for 18 wins at Norwich, and it looks like the Yankees will finally have 2 legitimate front-line starters to come out of the minors by next September, or earlier. What this will probably mean is the departure of either Keisler or Lilly, and my money is on Keisler being traded this offseason.

Just so we keep everything in perspective with our young pitchers.

This is a good point - prospects can fold at any time. However, our front-end prospects in the system now are much better than guys like Alex Graman, in my opinion.

I would def agree... the thing is that I was one of the guys that thought Claussen and Graman were the next best thing. When you see things like this thought it's certainly sobering.
The good news is that Graman and Claussen were basically it for us as far as minor league pitching. Right now we have about 7-10 legit prospects that can potentially turn into very solid major leaguers.

I think Graman is pitching for Seibu Lions in Japan now... that's a team where Dice-K used to be
This is a good comp for fringe guys. We haven't had a Chamberlain, Hughes, or even a Kennedy in years. Stuff and Stats. Those guys were fringy 4-5 types.. in terms of stuff.
