Nick Johnson's heroics could do nothing against the ineptitude of Carlos Almanzar. After Almanzar gave up a go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth against Charlotte, Johnson hit one out in the bottom of the inning to tie it up. In the top of the tenth, Almanzar coughed up <i>another</i> run, and the Clippers lost. 4-3. Johnson now has 18 homers.
