this is the "conspiracy" i am talking about.And I, as well as others, have stepped up and said "No" to that person's post. I think the "look the other way" happens more like what Patrick said than what that poster suggests.

For example, as a mod I had to look the other way when Slippery Elm posted anything. He could have posted the date and I would have thought he was baiting.. so I tried to stay out of issues with him, leave them for other mods to handle or await direction.

As for locking the thread - was fully shocked last night to see it still open, and even more so this morning. I thought it would have just gone "bye bye" a long time ago.

Bravo to the mod staff for letting folks hash this out and vent.

Maybe moving on to the new place to discuss politics instead of continuing along with an already neutered and increasingly whiny sub forum is a blessing in disguise.
I don't see what the big deal is. Just another link in your favorites.

So if we're 'in cahoots' with certain members, what's our motivation? I like some forumers a lot more than others, but if there's something to gain by acting in an underhanded manner I wanna know about it, dammit! Might be a good reason to start...

They keep advertising on TV about some Caribbean and jerk festival. I'm surprised if they're having a jerk festival that I wasn't invited to be the keynote speaker.
