Those are great seats. I would love to go to those games and sit in those seats and not have to worry about buying anyone with me overpriced concessions. "Sorry, honey, I could only get one ticket." :)

Exactly :-) Most people I know can't take off for Opening Day anyway and my girlfriend is a teacher, so I only tried for one ticket as I knew my chances of getting tickets was greater.. for the Red Sox game, I tried for two but came back with nothing.. and it's Yankees Red Sox in late September.. I'll go alone for that :-)

Edit.. just realized it was a typo for opening day- 316 not 216.. but I'm still happy with it considering I paid $80 and one section over would be $125

BTW- did anyone else notice that premium seats were not in the presale? For a few of the games where lousy seats were returned, I would have tried for the Terrace Suites but couldn't

$140 for the ticket includes a seat with view, food and non-alcholic bevarages. If you have a pass along with a regular ticket its $65 for the food at a table with no view of field.

so pretty much the cheapest option would be $5 (bleacher seat) + $12 (audi pass) + $65 (buffet) = $82 without tip, tax, charges and alcohol

The trick is getting that $12 Audi Club pass - the last I looked they are not available for individual game purchase - you have to have some type of ticket plan and then buy membership for all games in your plan.

they are easy to find on stubhub or other 3rd party websites for not too much more than $12.

So basically if you can get a seated audi ticket for under $100 that's a good deal. I'll have to keep an eye out this year

I heard it was excellent, but that they have different menus on different dates (like fillet mignon & lobster) so it can be a crapshoot

Yeah, it would be a real bummer to be all excited for lobster and have it turn out to be filet mignon night. ;)

Is the public on sale definitely Friday? Do we have a time? Definitely not taking a day off work for this. Just hoping I can get to a computer and get a Mets or Red Sox game to help me unload some undesirable games.

This was a tough year to get tickets in this presale, but it makes sense when you think about it. The yankees allowed people to buy new ticket plans before this presale, and put all ticket holders in the same presale instead of separating them like they normally do. That being said i still got opening day in the grandstand, but only got one other premium game 6/17 philly game, and then just got a bunch of the $5 dollar summer games that they had available. It was a very light day on the wallet as opposed to previous years.

For those interested in the Public On-Sale:

I literally get emails about this every day, so here’s the most recent thing I’ve heard.
Indications are that Yankees individual game tickets will go on sale Friday. I don’t have a time, but they will be available online at the Yankees official site and over the phone through Ticketmaster. They will go on sale at the box office on Monday.
Again, there’s nothing official just yet, but I heard this afternoon that Friday will probably be the day. That’s the plan, anyway.
Whenever the Yankees release something official about individual game tickets, I’ll be sure to have it on the blog. Until then, circle Friday. It sounds like that will be the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the grand stand for Opening Day and other premium games were held for the general public. They have separate inventories.

Two questions:

1. Did anyone that ordered their tickets by ticketfast get their tickets?

2. If you buy tickets to Opening Day or a Premium game can you still buy on Friday?

Today I was finding a lot of expensive seats. I'd like to get cheaper ones if they have them on the public presale, but I am not sure if it allows me to.

No. TicketMaster will hold those up for a few days (more than the 24 hours that they state) to make sure people didn't go over limit.

Thanks. I was wondering why I had not got anything. I did standard mail for the Phils game in June, but I wanted ticketfast for any April games to ensure I got them in time.

You'll get them in plenty of time. People start freaking out over these things as Opening Day approaches, but the freaking is generally an irrational overreaction. The Yankees and TicketMaster have everything under control. ;)

How is the Audi buffet? I may splurge and do it for one of the Phillies games at Yankee Stadium this year.

Its great. I was there for the Friday Mets-Yankees game last year, and had an amazing time. Lots of sushi, shrimp, carving station with filet, spicey chicken sandwiches, gourmet hot dogs, and dessert included chocolate covered strawberries. My friend and I will make the Friday Mets game an annual event.

I also went another night, vs Seattle. Different menu, but still great choices. Had an amazing ice cream dessert with cooked cherries and an alcohol topping. My guest kept saying how cool the Audi club was. Its not amazing for a die hard fan, but its an amazing meal, and a great change of pace for those of us who got to >50 games. Good to both see a game and impress a date, though.

In today's sale I also picked up several sox games there. I will be selling my seats (section 130) to friends who buy several games from me at face value, and will then watch the game from upstairs, enjoying a great meal. I don't miss the Sox games, and my friends are happy and keep on buying all those KC games. And if people want to make money on their regular seats, its worth using the profit you get for moving a Sox game, and turn it inot a great meal.

Highly recommended.

Did the buffet last year before ALCS game 6 (the rainout night, then went home) It was really good. Pricewise it is a splurge, at least to me. (Since my birthday is Oct. 22, that's how we rationalized the 'splurge.' Close enough.) But definitely go hungry and it will be worth it. The food and desserts were all wonderful. I'm not a sushi person but my wife raved about the sushi section. Great chicken, all the meats, appetizers and desserts were great. It is a good thing to do. I think we might do it once or twice this season too depending on the finances. Enjoy.

The 6/30 Mariners game for $5 is the best bargain of all the $5 games. The 4/14 one was mostly sold out. I'd go for that Friday first once you hit the $5 games on your list. Next is probably 8/18 vs Tigers.

I personally like the pass better- you can't really get into the game when sitting in the Audi Club- you get more of the ambience sitting at home with surround sound than I do there. With the pass you get a great lunch or dinner and then enjoy the game from the stands.

They really need to pipe in some crowd noise into the Audi Club and MSSB. Not too loud - just enough so you feel like you're apart of the crowd.

So I was selected in a drawing for the Red Sox to buy Yankee tix at Fenway. The sale is today at noon. The seats they say are available are SRO, I'm not quite sure of standing for 9 innings surrounded by dbags, I'd rather be sitting surrounded by dbags.

Has anyone bought Red Sox tickets before and sold them on StubHub? Because splashed all over this email are warnings not to scalp and how it is illegal. But MLB endorses SH, so I find this weird.

First pair (sold in January): $245 after fees (face $50 total) in Pavilion
Second pair (sold in early February): $144 after fees (face $40 total) SRO first base
Third pair (sold first week of March): $170 after fees (face $24 total) Upper Bleacher.

It is legal to sell them on StubHub. However, the Red Sox do not have electronic delivery so if you do sell them, you have to Fed Ex the hardcopy tickets to the buyer.

I was bought some Red Sox tickets during their "4-pack" sale several weeks ago. Fortunately it was on a Saturday because it took me 13 hours to complete three purchases. Good luck.

I would stay away from the april series and try for the summer series or october series, if you plan on selling games. I have one order with the red sox that I ordered two weeks ago and have not received yet. Since it was one of the april games I called up and was told that I might have to pickup the tickets the day of the game which is totally screwing me since I didnt plan on going to the game. I called again yesterday and this time got a nicer rep. who said call back in a week and then they may issue new tickets and resend them to me via mail. This may only be a one time random thing that happened to me but just wanted to share (because i have other orders with red sox that didnt have problems), so you might be better off with another yankees series if you plan on reselling. I think the red sox may be cracking down on out of town buyers, just a heads up.

There are still ticket plans available for purchase on the Yankees website. If they dont sell those plans will those individual tickets be available in the public on sale? They still have terrace for midweek plans that you should be able to pick up some 5$ games off of. Also midweek premium games.

RED SOX HAVE UPCs you can enter on Stub Hub this year! No more need to fed ex.

Have you actually done that? Right now my StubHub listings for Red Sox games do not have the "enable instant delivery" option which does appear for my Yankees listings. I also tried entering a bogus listing and the page that asks to enter the bar codes didn't come up for Red Sox tickets like it does for Yankee tickets. I'd like to know how to do electronic delivery with Sox tickets but it sure isn't clear from the StubHub pages that it is possible.

I've been in the Red Sox Virtual Waiting Room for 15 minutes. This is a ridiculous system that is completely random, it's not first come, first served. Why can't they just use TicketBastard like everyone else?

At this point there will be nothing left for these either.

Edit: A friend just told me last year he sat at his PC for hours and he never left the waiting room, 'wicked retahded!'

Yeah, it's pretty crappy. No matter what plan I choose I always have at least three $5 games. In aught-eight I had the 11 game and I think four of those were $5. Great value. :wtf:

They really do make it so the only way to really get a good value is to get a 41 game or full season plan and sell most of the games to be left with a good set.

Granted I'm in the Main Outfield and wouldn't get a discount anyway, but knowing I paid $100 for two seats while people in the infield, even if it is the upper deck, paid 10% of that... damn frustrating.

It was 10 out of the 12 games in 12 Game #1 last year, this year they evened it out.

Honestly when you count in getting a Red Sox game and not having to pay TicketMaster fees it all evens out so there's not really a reason to bitch this year (at least if you are in the Grandstand Dugout or Bleachers).

I would just wait for stubhub to get back to you and not worry about it.
They may have you pay the difference between fedex & etix. I can't imagine the buyer would be upset about not getting etix.
I almost missed a ship by date last year in the beginning of the season because of the whole mess with late shipment and they appreciated my contacting them and adjusted my date.

they actually called the buyer and he had no problem with the fed ex, they were going to charge me the $12 difference but I complained that it's confusing that the Red Sox don't offer instant tix and they waived it.

I think 2008 didn't have an 11 game plan IIRC, there was the 8 game value plan, which was mostly the $5 nights combined with several regular price games. In 2007, it averaged out to $10 a game, which was a great deal for the Upper Deck (sec. 17). So I could get 2 seats for $160. The following year it went to an average of $12. Still not bad. Then last year they lost the 8 game, added the 11 for $20 each and didn't adjust the price for the $5 nights, which were more than half of them. So $180 for 2 (with fees) to $460 for basically the same seats.

I was very pissed and I talked to the SI Yankees, this was all on the NYY end according to them. The Yankees picked the code and they put up the page anyone could get to when they sent out an email that it's not clear went only to SI holders. We'd gotten emails from our reps a few days prior to that already.

If they were serious about this they would make you login with the ticket account you use for the minor league affiliate.

SWB and SI both use TicketMaster to manage their accounts like the Yankees. Those are the two that I know participate in the sale. FSL Tampa also uses TM while Charleston and Trenton do not.

The FS pairs went pretty fast. There's a couple of singles in 205 and 206 that keep popping up every once in a while for 41-game plans, but I'm not sure about the resale value of single seats so I'm holding off on those. I have yet to see any Infield Grandstand FS or 41-plan pairs at any point during this process

If anyone decides to spend that kind of money on these seats, watch out for obstructed view issues. I just upgraded this season to 233A, Row 20, low seat numbers and I was told the foul pole will probably be in the way of a runner leading off first base or thereabouts. If you swing any further towards fair territory from that, you could have the pole between pitcher and catcher, which would be really annoying, and I would not pay full price for during any game, much less for a full season plan. (In other words, there might be a really good reason why these are some of the few left. Just saying)

I can't wait for this sale to be over, between waiting for a new plan, getting a new plan, moving seats in that plan, adding seats in a plan, waiting for presale, getting nothing in presale, waiting for gen-pop on sale, etc. it feels like I've been doing nothing for the last month but scheme on how to get tickets.

You know, they use those challenge words to digitize print books. One of the words is known, and the second word is a scan from a book. As long as you get the known word ticketmaster lets you through. When a certain # of people guess the same thing for the other word, they flag it as properly decoded and that's how they use you to "OCR" books for free ;)

How are you doing with your Phillies sales Gordon? Between my Partial Plans, Groups, Presales, 6-Packs, and a few tickets I bought to Flip i'm at 43% of my ticket inventory sold and am at 74% revenue of the money I put out. FYI, ticket reps aren't acknowledging this. I pointed out the availability on Stubhub to my rep, and this is what he said:

As for the tickets for opening day seats have already been opened up to the general public. Whatever is available for opening day is what is left or sold through Stubhub.

It kind of sucks that my new rep give the typical robot-like ticket office answers. My old rep used to give me some good info that wasn't "by the book."

Yankee ticket representatives are 99% useless. When dealing with typical types of companies I often ask to speak with the manager to bypass the incompetence or lack of authority, I'm going to have to start doing that with the Yankees. They are a business after all, and I'm the client.

Speaking of Ticketmaster.com tickets - after you got the email letting you know the tickets had printed, how long did it take for you to get the tickets in the mail? Now regular season premium full season seats.......I'm sweating that one as it is now April and still don't have my tix.

I received the tickets that I ordered from ticketmaster yesterday. I got the email last week that they shipped so it took a while to get to me.
