I got both of mine also (we have 2 accounts). I knew it was from the Yankees so I didn't open it. So far from the Inaugural season I have:

2x Inaugural Season Information Booklet in the Mailed Envelope, sealed & unopened
1x Full Season Ticket Booklet Intact, uncut, with all coupons and tickets
1x Full Strip of World Series Tickets, uncut
2x Inaugural Opening Day Program & 1 Year Book
2x Inaugural Season Happy Holidays Card in the Mailed Envelope, sealed & unopened

I guess if I want to keep this going I should try to collect all the giveways from 2009. I have the bat from day, snoopy doll, pin, and a few others but missing almost everything else.

Last year's was really nice... I can't wait to see this year's.

I still have most of my tickets in the book from 2008, but I sold my 2007 Sunday and Saturday plan books 100% in tact (sans my membership card) to some guy for $300.

I used to have a bunch of 9/11 anthrax parcels that were sterilized and unopened. After 5 years I chucked them . . . too much clutter around ;)

I like to collect things as much as the next guy, but this seems to be going way too far (no offense intended). What exactly are you going to do with unopened mail? Do you really think there is value in unopened junk mail from the Yankees? Open it up and enjoy!! I will admit that I saved a couple of Info booklets and schedules from last year but I looked at them and I'm not planning my retirement around them.
Again, no offense intended... just curious as to what one does with unopened Yankees mail? If it was worth something, don't you think Steiner would be selling it? ;)

lol, I already gave him one of those snoopy dolls (and bat) but truth be told he'll be getting all that Yankees stuff one day anyways. If anyone has a Beenie from 2009 (that I missed) I have a 3rd snoopy available to trade

For some reason they sent me 4 season brochures this year. I opened the first two and by the time the last 2 arrived I just stuffed them in a drawer without opening. The holiday card from last year was nothing special, so I figure why open it and just add it to the collection. But now Ellsworth has me wanting to open one :) Anyone have a picture of it?

Ahhh, but do you have the plush PC Richards Whistle from Yanks vs. Jays 9/16 game? One of the worst give-a-ways ever, kids were crying when they got it at the gates, not knowing what the hell it was

:) DMattingly85MVP, I chuckled visualizing the poor kids at the gate not knowing what to make of the promotional item:) .

I've heard that, in past years, there was actually a very thin gold ornament that was included with the card, with the same design as the emblem on the front of the card. (Devil-may-care, I opened my card--ranks up there with my favorite holiday card!) I never saw this ornament myself, but I've never been a full season ticketholder, so I thought maybe it was something reserved for them. Did any of you get actual ornaments? Just curious...
(Maybe given the prices of Legends Suite tickets, those folks get fully decorated artificial trees delivered to their homes---lol just kidding!)

I recall a friend of mine receiving these ornaments, as I remember, one of the ornaments boasted about the Yankees having attendance of over 4,000,000 for the first time in franchise history or something...and this was after losing to the Angels in '05. I also remember Mike Francesa making fun of that during a show

Mine had the ornament.. My apologies,,its only the full seasons that get that really
nice ornament card . I had been a A plan holder, who was moved up to full season,
I just thought this was the only card that you would receive. Apparently parital plan
holders recieved printed cards, with no ornaments..

See for me who always got a printed card, it was a big upgrade to receive this card with the gold ornament attached..maybe I was more excited because it said 27th world Champions and the inagural season on it..

I really don't see what the big deal is. It's says that it's #11 of some limited edition set. Mine is on the counter. I'm going to show it to my girlfriend tonight and file it in the circular file. The magnet I got last year is still on my fridge.

But sending the card to a yankee hater is a good idea...

Never bought anything either from MLB. On the subject of merchandise - I keep getting spam emails from this firm in China through craigslist offering me $20 jerseys, but you have to buy them in bulk. I'd buy one for $20 even if it's a knock-off, but minimum order size is 10

Because it's a nice touch that will make most fans smile a little bit.

The Yankees take the hit for a ton of things, but for sending out a Christmas card, we're going to slam them?

I was looking at my card and was wondering what the 11th in a limited edition series...does it mean that its the 11th year they've sent out cards to season ticket holders? (this being my first year as an official licensee)

My card + ornament is available, free of charge, to the first person who PMs me the answer to this Yankee trivia question:

Who holds the Yankee record for career saves?

Seriously, first person to PM the answer to that brainbuster and their address will get my card + ornament.

Good luck.

Partial plan holders got the ornament printed on the card, All full season holders got this (some pictures were taken from upside down then rotated, so the viewing angle may seem strange):

I have mailed them both to Red Sox fans with a nice note.
