Nice, D-Rob!

I agree witht he poster who said Melancon could and should've been in at the start of this inning. His total downside was pretty much exactly what Alba gave us. You don't get too many 6 run leads. Maybe it was just a fear of the top of the order or something?

It's an unfortunate set of circumstances with noone at fault that has led to his layoff, and I understand that. But he should pitch over Alba with a 6 run lead. Now we're not likely to see him for another night, unless the offense puts a few more on the board here.

You're dreaming if you think he's a milllionaire. He makes nowhere near that in a year, probably somewhere around 300 to 400K. Still a good hunk of change, but not a milllionaire. Why else do you think he works 2 jobs for an average of at least 12 hours a day?

I agree that Melancon should have been the one moreso for the fact that he could use some work, but its not a given that he wouldn't have crapped the bed just like Alba.

1. I could pitch with a 6 run lead

2. He had to use him. Either he performs, or he's gone--now we know

3. We have the best record in the AL. Not by accident. And ARod was gone.:)

The designation "millionaire" refers to the amount of money/assets you possess, not your yearly salary.

Even if he did, that's the point of waiting for a big lead. We expect him to fail the first time out now, given the incredibly long layoff.

Can we PLEASE put him in now? This is ridiculous.

I might have been exaggerating but I think it's safe to say that he has more than 1 million worth of assets. I'm sure he doesn't have to worry about being able to pay any bills. I normally don't mind him but that comment was nauseating.

The fan will probably get some free stuff regardless, I would hope Damon would hang around to meet the guy and thank him. The guy who caught Adam Dunn's 300th threw it back and they found him after the game, and gave him a TON of stuff.
