Cust was sitting Slider, if you were going off a scouting report that would be the correct pitch to be sitting on a 3-2 count from Joba.

I remember I wanted the Yankees to draft Brett Anderson with one of their first two picks in 2006 but they drafted these two guys named Ian Kennedy and Joba over him.
Settle down Joba.
One thing I notice about Joba is he certainly seems to be working faster.
Crap...just as I say that...Joba loses the strike zone.

From Sons of Sam Horn
So Joba gets out of a 2nd and 3rd jam with 1 out by striking out Ellis and Patterson. He did his usual twirling fist pump off the mound after ending the inning, but after the strikeout before that he kind of looked towards A's dugout and started pounding his chest with his fist. I really hope his entire family gets cancer.

93 pitches and rolling for Joba.
Will he pitch the eighth? Anyone...

yeah, me too and I don't get YES
You know what would be funny... reading the game thread from that game as YES is replaying it. I bet there are some nice doom and gloom posts in there that would be amusing to read (and you know who you are that posted them)
We feel bad for the A's
don't you mean the A?

Melky has had himself a nice game.
Ha! Melky is SAFE and Jeter will get credited with a hit! :D
9:10 and the game is headed to the bottom of the 7th. I bet this makes Muggs happy :)

He should. I'm not sure if Joe will let him. 7-8-9 due up for the A's.

Anderson at 106 pitches. A's aren't going to baby him.
Melky with three hits and a ton of hustle.
Look for him to be traded by Monday.

It was a 81mph breaking ball. No intent there.
Yes, I know. I said it was an accident. I was just reminded of the quick trigger fingers of umps where Joba was concerned ... especially against Youkilis and Boston in general.
Damb, Johnny GIDP.
Come on, Tex, get Melky in!
It sure beats last night.
Since I had to be up at 4:30 this morning..I agree with you.
Johnny hits it hard, but right at O-Cab

I was up at 5AM... and that was bad enough.
BY 10:30 last night I was in dreamland.
Time for ARod to pick up 3 RBIs.

Come on Alex....hit one out and then Melancon can remember what his job is.
I like Paul O'Neill, but when he's in the booth it always seems as if they stop paying attention to the game!
Anderson walks Teixeira, and that will be all for him.

What did Paulie mean when he said he wanted to find out what was going on in Anderson's head? Was he doing something weird?

Yes, they were watching his routine on the bench. It was interesting...

Still 4-1 for the Yankee.
shame we didn't get some more.
I'm guessing Joba comes out for the 8th as no one was warming...
