Usually the ones who weren't around back when he was at his worst.

ICEBERG18

Cust was sitting Slider, if you were going off a scouting report that would be the correct pitch to be sitting on a 3-2 count from Joba.

No one has ever wanted to win more than George but sometimes all you could do was shake your head over his antics.

Well, I wish only the best in his fight with his health. You can never question his passion.

From Sons of Sam Horn

So Joba gets out of a 2nd and 3rd jam with 1 out by striking out Ellis and Patterson. He did his usual twirling fist pump off the mound after ending the inning, but after the strikeout before that he kind of looked towards A's dugout and started pounding his chest with his fist. I really hope his entire family gets cancer.

Honestly, I think the difference between a site like this and SoSH for example is the moderation. Posts like that wouldn't be tolerated here... but don't kid yourself into thinking they weren't be posts like that here if this place wasn't moderated the way it is.

If you have ever lost a line drive in the lights, it is a helpless scary feeling

a friend of mine once lost one in the sun, it bounced off his hands and hit me in the face.

Cano would never take that pitch with a risp.

Look how confidently he just took that pitch.

OK, right over Robbie's head  Does he get warned? If Joba had thrown that pitch I'm almost certain he would have been penalized ....

Or since it's not Boston .... it's seen for what it is, a mistake.

Honestly, I think the difference between a site like this and SoSH for example is the moderation. Posts like that wouldn't be tolerated here... but don't kid yourself into thinking they weren't be posts like that here if this place wasn't moderated the way it is.

As I always say whenever anybody brings up some other fan message board in a disparaging way - I like it here.

I agree. Over there they have like a "sports bar" forum. Anything goes. I seen comments like that about their own players as well. My only issue is if your going to be offended then why go to that website. You know that is what goes on there. Its like taking a small child near beachers sections in yankee stadium expecting it to be a nice peaceful enviroment over there, You know your going to at least see one fight and people calling other people "a__hole!A__hole!" and having guys yell "hey (player x) your mom (whatever you wanna think of) ".

Small ball strikes again and the Yankees pick up another run in the inning.

It was nice to hear that Cano came in early and asked for extra help working on a pitch he was having trouble with.

I know I should know this by now, but what's the story with the innings limit? If he reaches it, does that mean he's in the pen the rest of the year, or will they sit him for longer stretches as it approaches so he can still start in the playoffs (knock on wood)?
