If this is the real list, I am not at all surprised at any of the names. None.

On review, Helton surprises me, too. But just a little. ;) (and assuming that this even resembles the real list)

I don't know about that. It looks pretty legit to me.

Too many big names, not enough nobodies and journeymen. Plus, from my understanding, there were 104 positive tests which does not necessarily mean 104 players tested positive.

Uhh, anyone who has followed baseball closely for the last 10 years should recognize at least 85% of those names. Also, rotoworld didn't even name a source.

The list posted in the link on rotoinfo is different than it was a few days ago, there's only 103 names now (I think they listed Burnitz only once this time) and Oliver Perez's name is spelt right.

Uhh. Uhh?

RECOGNIZING the names doesn't mean that most on the list aren't anything but marginal players or just a bit better than servicable players (with some at least decent) whether you've been watching MLB for one year, ten years, or fifty years. It's not like the whole list is A-Rod and Papi types. Because it was a sample of then current MLB players, it looks like they had gotten a fairly representative cross-section, in terms of talent, and it provides no real reason to reject the probability that those names constitute the correct list. All I'm saying (and I said twice that it was all was under the assumption the list was even real).

Your argument is ridiculous just because you're defending something that pretty much everyone has said is fake.

I said multiple times that the list may or may not be real, if you bothered to note. What actually WAS ridiculous was your claim that the list likely was not real because it contained too many big names and not enough "no-names", and you were wrong. I was defending nothing, you were. Live with it.

I don't believe the list is real, but I agree with you with the recognizing names. I mean with fantasy baseball and stuff, people know the names to almost everyone on each team.

Yea but back in 03 did you recognize those names?

I understand that not all players were tested. With 30 teams in the majors and a roster of 25 players, that means 759 players were on big learue rosters at the time. I fully believe reports that over 50 % of ML players use PFD, so I believe that a great many of those of the list were users
