While The Blast is sad to see Halladay go; we are very excited to add Beltran into the OF mix. Jones is off to a good start. Mauer was a big part of the Blast's modified lineup; but after about a week of trying to get Beltran I was felt this was a solid deal.

I feel like we've been negotiating for a month.

I can't believe that a deal of this magnitude isn't being discussed more. Seriously; Beltran & Halladay moving is a big deal. Isn't it?

I'm at peace with the risk I took on.

Halladay is obviously the stud, but he's not keepable.

That means I have to play for this year, and if Ortiz is cooked (which I honestly believe he might be) then I'm screwed.

Back injuries for a catcher are never a good thing, either.

This is the second time this year that I made a deal and didn't get the best player (at the time the deal was made). Not a great feeling, although after the way the first one worked out, I have a little slack to play with.

If it all clicks for me, I'm in good shape.

I was definitely looking to deal a SP to get Scherzer into the rotation.

I feel that my OF is sick: Beltran, Hamilton, Wells, Dunn. Even with Ramirez in there for steals I'm happy and Jones at the U is ok. Lackey coming back hopefully can fill the Halladay hole.
