My March this year has been brutal. My apologies to all.
Right now it looks like the best date for me to hold the auction would be March 25th.
Can people make that date? 9pm?

Sure; why not. I'd rather it be on a Friday or Saturday night; but I suppose weekends aren't always the best for others.

25th is fine with me, but the time is brutal. 09.00 PM is 03.00 AM over here, and it's the middle of the week, I have to be at work on Thursday morning. Can't we make it a bit earlier, say, 7 PM?

I get home from work at 9:10 on the 25th (my 8:04 train gets me through the door at home at exactly 9:10).

I wait as long as possible...then an hour ago my meeting for 3/24 is pushed to....3/25! GRRRRRRRRR
Will have to see about another date...last night my meeting went long and I did not get home until 10:30

I am very flexible every day in March starting Monday.
I'm free basically any week night the rest of March. Might be busy one night next week, but should be good other than that. Weekends are a little sketchy for me. Could do a Sunday night, but already have another draft the 29th.
NYDCYankee wants to join (see the signup thread) but he immediately left the country on a trip, and wont be back until the 19th, so we cant do anything until he can look at his roster, declare keepers, etc...

Hey E; what about a poll where everyone chooses the dates they can't make (leaving out the dates you can't make as we need our commish at the draft) then whatever day has the fewest objections we take. If I have to bot I will. No biggie.
I don't know that there are any good dates for me the rest of the month.
I will pass on commissioner powers during the auction to another owner.
So, we're going with the 25th then?????

I can make it 9:15 even...give ya 5 mins to grab a beer. :D
(Seems generous but auctions can only be scheduled in 1/4 hour increments anyhow)

The draft is next week. By the way, I gave you some incorrect info. You can drop players in the middle of contracts and take a $1 or $2 penalty. I think it depends on how many years he is signed to...so actually maybe a $3 or $4 penalty is also possible.

Staying up from 3.15 AM to 6 AM, and then going to work at 9 AM. Sweet.
At least I got MLB 09: The Show to keep me company :)
