I got a big packet in the mail for the NYC marathon today with 1 million directions and instructions for Nov 2nd. I'm not going to say it yet but if I finish ok without dying I'm going to be one happy chick. The training has not been easy especially because none of my pals are running this year so I'm training by myself which means my training has been half-assed.

I'm happy that my daughter seems to have found something she's interested in and good at, and her school years (which haven't been great academically) will be leading her to a career path. She actually is looking forward to going to college with a career idea in mind. :)

We only do pignolis a Christmas time. Mom won't make them any other time of year but dad and I found a way around tradition, if you take pistachio ice cream and dump chocolate syrup all over it tastes just like pignolis.
I'm Happy that the New Rascal Flatts music video is out because I was at the concert where they fillmed it. I'm also Happy that the Rascal Flatts Fan club is talking about doing a huge community service project involving fans from all over the country.

What makes me happy? In no particular order.......
Mrs Maynerd, Daughter o'Maynerd, son o'Maynerd, my dogs, Yankee wins, Air Force football wins, sunsets over the mountains, skiing, banana ice cream, apple pie, listening to a baby laugh, a good book, music from the 60s and early 70s, a fine dining restaurant and a bottle of good wine, lobster, the beach, waterfalls, promoting one of my Scouts to Eagle Scout, telling someone to make themselves at home and truly meaning it, discovering new stuff, going to new places, starting new projects, finishing those projects, pizza, good beer, Irish Coffee, a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter's day, lazy days off with no chores and no agenda, time spent with old friends, time spent with new friends, canoeing or rafting on moving water.
There's almost certainly others. I'm generally a pretty happy guy.

Your cup runneth over with happiness;)
I truly don't mean to be trite, but life makes me happy. Even at 71 years of age with lots of aches and pains and numerous other minor problems that don't get me down I am a person who looks at life through rose colored glasses.
My wife and I, wed for 46 years, have five fantastic kids (all college grads) with 12 grandkids (6 boys/6girls),. We travel a lot to our kids half marathon races (about six a year to all parts of the country); take one cruise a year (the next is Australia/New Zealand); I fish in Alaska every year for the last eight; we maintain a great garden and have many other activities.
I tell my family that if anything happened to me tomorrow my entire bucket list is complete. There is plenty still to do, but I've done it all.
I am, and will be, until the Supreme Maker, takes me home, happy with life.
Andy
