Also heard it with Andrew Marchand on 1050, they want a bat and or a reliever, could we give a brett gardner type or a reliever in the minors not named melancon or cox.

doubt yankees will try for him...cardinals would want an impact player for this year......but he is 12-3 w/ an era of 3.68

I would perfer Loshe to Washburn in a heartbeat and would happily include Gardner in a deal if meant the end of Ponson or Rasner.
Loshe is a league average starter for his career and his contract is up at the end of this year.
He also pitched pretty good for Philly in a penenat race last year so I would not expect him to completely fold.
I wouldn't trade top tier talent for him but if Garnder and second teir reliver brings him to the bronx I'd be happy.

Good luck to them in selling high. Not in Cashman's house though, get that ish outta here.
The stuff and fastball is there with this guy, but he is a career underachiever.

It all depends on their demands. I, for one, welcome our Kyle Lohse overlords.

Same here, but not for anything of note..
He is having a great year, but his name is Kyle Lohse and I want to deal for what he will do, not the highest of what he has done..

Well, Marcells has him down for a 4.69 ERA. ZIPS has him at 4.78.
Because of his year, though, I think he'll be overpriced. I'd leave Lohse as an ption, though.

Just curious, aren't the Cards tied for the WC lead. Why would Loshe be available?

He is at the peak of his value right now. No reason to trade for him.

I'd give them Giambi and pay half Giambi's salary to seal the deal. The Cards want a hitter; Giambi is the best they'll get.

Yep its not like they already have a top 1B.

Hey since ST Lou has a firstbaseman maybe they can take Giambi give us Lohse, throw in their firstbaseman and we'd give them a top prospect of their choice and some money to compensate for Giambi's bad contract.
I want Giambi out. He has hot streaks, sure but his cold streaks are longer and more frequent.
