Team has played like crap after he went down. Coincidence?

.320 hitter with .400+ OBP goes out of the middle of the lineup and you put in Betemit/Molina more often to take his ABs.


Can they right the ship while Matsui is gone, then really turn it on when he returns?

including today, they are 5-7 since he last played, and the offense has been pretty weak. hes not the reason for the entire offense, but there is a correlation

Well, you don't lose a guy who's hitting at .323/.404/.458 and not show some signs of a sputtering offense. It's really made worse by the fact that nobody else has really jumped up their production to make up the difference.

I think you should add "the Marc effect," because they have been playing like a mediocre ballclub ever since I started watching them again.

Please repair with Barry Bonds effectTo be completely honest, I think I'd rather NOT make the playoffs WITHOUT Barry Bonds than make the playoffs WITH him. Sometimes, you've got to "just say no."

I never want to see him play again. And, I sure don't want him adding to his HR total. (A total I'm hoping A-Rod eclipses someday.)
