Granted I normally don't give two hoots about the WNBA, but the Seattle Storm, otherwise referred to as Seattle's only hope are now 5-1. :gulp:

This league keeps hemorrhaging cash from both the NBA and the networks that carry it yet the XFL didn't get even a 2nd season to build an audience.

Networks do not carry games that don't make money. The networks pay the broadcast contract with money that they earn from selling advertising time. So obviously someone is watching the WNBA if the ad companies are buying commercial time.
I don't know what happened with the XFL, but it could be that (1)the networks couldn't sell ad time and/or (2)the networks and the XFL couldn't come to a contract agreement for the 2nd season

If the NBA wasn't backing/funding the WNBA it would have folded years ago.
