Everyone seems to blame Giambi/Abreu and Damon for everything. The problem is THEY ARE NOT THE PROBLEM
Giambi has an OPS of .820 and a .999 OPS in MAY
Abreu has a .783 OPS on the season and a .863OPS this month
Damon is the only one slumping this month with an OPS of .595 but his overall numbers are still good
Everyone else on this team has an OPS over .800 for hte month EXCEPT
Jose Molina with somewhere around .500
Melky around .500
Alberto Gonzalez/Ensbert/Duncan = lol what OPS?
We have 3 auto outs in our lineup. This is whats killing us. ARod will eliminate one of those thank freaking god. Melky needs to turn it around fast and we should be ok.

I agree with you but you should not include Gonzalez in the group because he has been getting some hits here and there. Melky has not been good in may and he has hurt us in several games.

I somewhat agree. Although I think Damon is a problem. Aside from his inability to spark the offense early in games he brings nothing defensively. No question that replacing A-Gon with A-Rod and Molina with Posada restores the lineup to respectability as long as Melky can turn it around and Cano shows that his slump is really over.

Great post, thanks for the stats they pretty much tell the story. You arent gonna score runs unless you get RISP hits or get guys on base.

Is it just me or have Gonzalez's outs also been hit hard??

Church made a very nice play to rob Gonzo of a RBI yesterday. Would've been the only hit in the series with RISP.

Yea and I remember saying that I think we have a problem right now because Jose Molina is our best hitter. Great foreshadowing.

I agree the 7-8-9 hitters are three automatic outs and its horrible when 7-8-9 are all due up as the first three hitters in one single inning..it kills us every time! Alex has to come back and carry this team offensively and hopefully everyone elses bats will wake up...very soon.
