That seems a little like being curious what dirt tastes like. :(

I fully expect the Tigers to revive after their rough series against the Red Sox.

When compared to Kennedy and hughes it might be better than dirt...sad as it seems,,,

True. Though it's scary that the best we can say is "might". Drawing detroit in is first start doesn't make things any easier.

I'm curious as to how Kei Igawa will pitch... He really cant be that much worse than what IPK or Hughes would have done.

Im sure this team is feeling pretty good about itself after the way they came back against Boston the other night. Bottom line is the yankees needed to build up some momentum on this homestand and instead went under 500 on it. Now they are going back out on the road for another tough matchup. I expect 1 out of 3 against Detroit probably the Pettitte game.

I predict a 3 game sweep this weekend. It could be by either team too. :o

So do I, but I have a great deal of confidence in which team it will be doing the sweeping..
It is not the choice that will make Yankee fans happy I assure you that..

May I be wrong 3 times.

Igawa will pitch like Igawa.. all you can hope is that Rogers pitches worse than Igawa.

You guys do realize that Detroit does have the second worst record in the AL and that their 5.10 team ERA is the worst in the AL right? Even worse than Texas.

I know it isn't optimal to be starting Igawa & Rasner and we are missing two key cogs in A-rod and Posada but hearing "fans" expecting to be swept by a team that is playing .417 ball and has had trouble getting anybody out for the most part this year is disappointing.

They were one of the worst teams in the AL last week when they came in and swept us. Also, as we saw a couple of years ago when the yanks had a tiger like lineup, great hitters feast off of mediocre pitching.

I just find it fascinating and also really sad that we are now 0-4 against a team that cant pitch, cant field and is probably one of the biggest underacheiving offensive teams in recent memory.
