Little League is all about who has the best physically developed pitcher on their team.
I was nearly 6 foot tall when I played Little League. Too bad everyone else caught up with me in high school. The only other candidates that we had before yesterday lacked physical development and mental make up. I was expecting the worst.
Adrian, the new kid, had only one apparent flaw yesterday, the crotch of his shorst was at about his knees (which inhibited his stride). I explained this equipment issue to his mom (no english) using his sister as an interpreter. I am hopeful that the message got through.
We'll still have problems when we have to use another pitcher, but having a good starter will keep us in a lot of games.

True they shouldnt worry about his ego or anything like that, as we watch right now Hafner has been dropped behind Franklin Guteirrez in the Indian lineup.

you can't take one outing and assume he's fixed. the same goes for igawa. you can't use a sample size of 1 to make a decision. i would assume that both igawa and kennedy got multiple outings in their respective league before a decision was made.

But from the standpoint of it only being 6 days. How much can he really learn or how much confidence can be developed in 6 days.
I don't think he can come back up until 10 days after he's been sent down. He's guaranteed 2 starts, at least. Knowing that he's still a good pitcher, that he can apply himself and succeed is a pretty big thing.

Does anyone know anything about Windows Media Center? I started to record this game using it, and at first the picture was fine, then it just went black (audio is still OK).
This has happened before and I've sort of jiggled the cables and that seemed to fix it. Now, though, nothing seems to help. :(All I know is too much of my hard drive is allocated that gimmicky program.
