The Cleveland announcers said that they saw three rookies in the last series against the Yanks (Rasner, Igawa, Wright), but that this kid (Hughes), looks like he might have better stuff than any of them. haha!
Who would have guessed that?

No offense, but why do people care about preseason football so much? it baffles me.
Another nasty curve.
My favorite aspect is the people who bet on it. That's the sign of a true degenerate.

I dont know what part of that is more funny..
The fact that we threw out 3 rookies in a row ( bad times )
Or that he has to announce that Hughes might have better stuff than them all.
Its a testament to how good this kid is when he is mowing through the Indians despite not having his plus fastball command
He is so damn good

Chipper Jones of the Braves, when asked about Barry Bonds on Wednesday, said any accomplished player would face questions about steroids use because of the era in which they play. That includes Alex Rodriguez.
“I think it will follow him,” Jones said. “There’s going to be the questions because his name’s been brought up. If I had to pose a guess on A-Rod, I would say no. But I don’t know. He’s going to have to answer the questions.”

Suzyn is talking about ARod diffusing some comment Chipper Jones said. So, what exactly did Chipper say?Basically, he said nothing. He was asked if questions were circle A-Rod, and Chipper said something like, "I think anytime someone gets close now questions will come up. But if you ask me about A-Rod, I would say I don't think he's taken them."
Then the headlines in New York blew up, with stuff like "A-Roid scandal.." blah blah blah.

Yeah, nothing is there. And Chipper isn't wrong, unfortunately. That's just the way it is these days.

First beautiful change-up.
Not a problem. If Hughes keeps throwing strikes on the first pitch some are going to get hit. Most will be outs though...like that one.

Another fly ball, but it's very, very safely in the park. 3 down.
That was, if it can be called so, a fluke HR. It looked like a line out off the bat, and it just carried until it was gone.

A quick 10 pitch inning and he could come out for the 7th....

Suzyn is talking about ARod diffusing some comment Chipper Jones said. So, what exactly did Chipper say?
Cleveland annoucers were alluding to it earlier..
'Guys chasing the HR record will be under scruitiny...HGH, PID..and such'..taken out of context of course...:o
But the gist is...any MLB player that surpasses BBonds record going foward will be under the same microscope that he has been.
Nothing bashing Arod..as he included himself in as of those MLB players.
As usual..Media making something out of nothing...

I dont mind solo HR's with a 4 run lead. I'd rather see that then the pitcher nibbling and walking people, then giving the HR.

Just shows how good he is, his command is a bit off, he is not getting the grounders, and is still shoving the bats where the sun does not shine.
