well at least torre has finally dropped abreu out of the three hole.
Yeah, smart move on Torres part. Hopefully Bobby can rebound and do well in the 7 slot.
Coming off of a loss last night that can be blamed on a blown call by the umpire, I'd expect some fuel to come out of the Yankee players tonight. Pettitte is pitching, and hopefully he can give the team a good outting. Hopefully Abreu can 'start' to get out of his slump, and no blown calls are made tonight, against the Yankees at least.
... With that being said, Go Yankees :NY:

Hard to believe we are in sole possession of second place; although there is no honor in a .467 winning ratio, which is six games back of Boston and two wins short of .500. Lots of lame play elsewhere in the division. Let's win one tonight!

Abreu singles to right, but Posada has to hold at third. Corners, two down for Cano. Come on, Robbie. Time to start heating up.

Good hit by Jorge.
One thing I'm really starting to notice is that we don't have any exciting players. No one in the entire lineup or on the whole pitching staff is very animated. We don't have guys crashing into walls, diving to make catches, turning doubles into triples, stealing bases with great regularity. It just seems like all the players on this team fits into a mold.
Maybe its age, maybe its team philosophy, maybe its both. Maybe I'm crazy.
Does anyone else notice this?

I think that would prompt/encourage even more injuries than we have had so far......
Cano is swinging at terrible pitches.
Wow, just read what Shill said about Bonds... lol, he is a loudmouth jerk but when he directs it at someone I dislike I have to admit it is kinda funny.

I think that almost every player on the team is exciting to watch. (There are several who are eh, of course, but I think that the Yankees have more guys who are exciting to watch than any team in the league.)
Flied to center. One down.

The only thing that I agree with you on is the stolen bases. The Yankees don't seem to be running nearly enough so far this season. At least that's what it feels like to me.

again while it might have been his ball, the point is it was a bloop hit that would have dropped in regardless...
No, what i'm arguing is most leftfielders would of made the catch, it was very much a catchable ball.

That was most definitely exciting. Im just saying on a regular basis we don't have guys stealing bases, making great plays, coming off the mound pumping their fists, etc. That type of thing. Maybe its my frustration with last night and the season thus far as a whole... I dunno.
