Looks like Bernie's putting that guitar to good use, sitting in with the one and only Allman Brothers this past saturday at the Beacon. Good stuff.

That would be so cool to see him play in person.

Thanks for starting this thread. A co-worker emailed these same links to me this morning, but I wasn't sure where to put the thread. Bernie rocks. Crowd went wild apparently.

He looks so jacked next to Derek Trucks. Truly awesome stuff!

Wait. So Bernie's not sitting by the phone in Westchester waiting for the call that will never come? ;)

Well that's assuming they didn't play "Centerfield". ;)

If he had come to camp he likely would be playing now.

He looks kind of chunky - not exactly in playing shape. Well, I hope his guitar career takes off and I hope the Yankees can solve this outfield morass that seems will be ongoing for a few more years.

Having Johnny Damon, Hideki Matsui and Bobby Abreu is a morass? Man, tough crowd.

Seriously... if he had come to spring training he would be on the team, for better or for worse. Although it would have looked really bad if he had a bad spring and they had to cut him.

but honestly, didn't everyone realize it'd play out this way? Yanks were thinking with their head and not their hearts, Bernie with his heart but not his head. Neither side won. Not that jammin' with the Allman Bros. isn't neat...

Great stuff man. Forget the Mets/Yankees thing. The Allman Brothers and the Mule rock! Bernie's got some serious chops!
