well that was crap, but its only game 2 of 162. **** happens and obviously the team hasnt got in its groove yet. The only thing I am concerned about is the defense.

and im sick of girardi's excuses about the weather and the yanks sloppy play. the d rays are playing in the same conditions and i dont see them throwing the ball all over the field or their catcher letting a million balls get by him
You also didn't see Jorge do that on Monday so maybe the 2006 NL Manager of the year knows what he's talking about. Heck, the team didn't do this stuff in spring training.
Plus, Elijah Dukes defense in center allowed the Yanks to score how many runs? What about Brian Stokes?

Sluppy baseball game the Yankees played tonight.
We should not be loosing this kind of games, tied after 5 with a much better bullpen and lineup.

I think Girardi's most valid point was that the Yankees have played two games in five days - and this one was not "ideal baseball conditions" by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Agreed, you could see the cold and how it was playing on several players just in the area of movement. The ball had a different sort of movement and it seemed that several players on both sides were uncomfortable.

That's an omen right there. This is the low point of the season and the Yankees will cruise to their 27th title!:D
