my guess: it's more important to Torre to spread out hils lefty hitters rather than do what makes most sense, which is 1-Jeter 2-Cano

Hey everyone... I just got in and turned on the game. At the same time, I got this email from my dad... written, I believe, after the 3rd inning:
"Matsuzaka awesome, Pettite awful. Bad sign ... but at least ARod's doing well."
Can I reasonably call my dad an a-hole for the 3rd and 4th words in this email? Cuz his line, particularly the ER, doesn't look so bad!
I'd tell him he spelled Pettitte wrong. ;)
I think people tend to overreact more than usual in the very beginning of the season since they've gone all winter without meaningful games to watch and talk about.
Grounder to first, he flips to Seo, but Seo doesn't even come close to touching first, overrruns it, and can't tag Matsui. Matsui on first, nobody out. Nice break. E-1.

They changed the scoring on that play back to a single for Matsui.
