I've decided that from now on I'm going to try to worry about who's booing and who's cheering A-rod as little as possible. There's nothing I can do about it, so it's not worth fretting over.

From the placements they give on Gameday, it looks like he was barely missing the zone, though... I can't fault him too much. Especially seeing as he's looking more effective than Kazmir.

All I could ask? I'll be quite honest when I tell you I sat down after opening Gameday, saw one hit for each team, and mumbled curses that Pavano wasn't pitching a perfect game for the simple reason that that would've been the greatest thing to ever happen.

lol, if we lose this game im going to be pissed, but I have faith in a victory. Pavano did well considering he hasnt pitched in a real MLB game in a long time. He was mowing them down until he got tired. He just needs to get his stamina up.

I never understood the Giambi is the worst 1b man ever. He was ok, above average. He could also make so really nice plays. Never got it.
Giambi is not as horrible as some people make him out to be....I'd feel much better with him playing first more often...with Matsui DH'ng more. This is also would get Melky into the lineup.
That should not have been the 4th run, twice.
well that was about 4000% more innings than he gave us last year.

For those of you worried about Phelps' defense, I think that's another reason why the platoon should work ok.
Phelps can hit and Minky can field. Hopefully that will even out to equal a decent fielding, decent hitting 1B platoon.

Given the expectations and that he hasn't pitched in like 90 years, I'd say Pavano was a solid OK.
