Twenty? If he doesn't get hurt? :)
Who will hit more -- Abreu or Cano?
JavyVazquezIsSick
03-24-07, 01:05 PM
Really grateful we had Doug at 1st for the play, nobody else could of started that DP, oh wait....
Who will hit more -- Abreu or Cano?I'm betting Abreu will get his home run swing back ... he could do 25 or more. :)
Really grateful we had Doug at 1st for the play, nobody else could of started that DP, oh wait....Hey, at least Doug had the self-knowledge to know he couldn't make it ... Giambi might have desperately tossed to second to try to prove that he COULD.
Anyways, if Dougie doesn't start hitting a little better, who cares how well he fields. I'd rather keep both Phillips and Phelps, both lefties or no, than be stuck with him in the lineup three games out of four ...
Hey, it WORKED! Mientkiewicz just got his third hit of the month! :D
Yankees fail to score in the third. :(

I know it's ST and all, but it would be nice to see the Yanks put some runs on the board this inning.

Base hit, Matsui! Yankees are on the board! :D

Good inning so far by the yankee offense. Taking alot of pitches, just missing a few big hits, but still able to push a across a run (so far)

Looked like he held up to me. here comes the hook
justinvarnes
03-24-07, 01:39 PM
yep, bad hook and he layed off. 1-2 now.
RBI single for Robbie, and it's four to TWO! :)
Not to be depressing or anything, but does anyone else think Kevin Long looks a bit like Cory Lidle?
I love Robbie.

This is what I want to see.
I don't need to see Monster HR's every inning. I also want to see them walk some, take pitches and have the 6 and 7 hitters push across those walks.

Leadoff TRIPLE for Abreu! I guess his oblique is all right, all right! :D

It is high, it is far, it... is... gone! Straight-away center blast by A-Rod after a leadoff triple by Bobby "Toldja I'd Be Ready for Opening Day" Abreu.

Will the 'stache be Zaun's back-up?
Still tied, after seven. :)
Will the 'stache be Zaun's back-up?I hadn't heard he had gone to Toronto. I'm sorry the Yankees didn't keep him ... could he possibly be worse offensively than any of the sorry specimens the Yankees have fighting for the backup spot this spring? :o

Colter Bean could be the next Jeff Nelson. Don't know if that's good or not! ;-)

The Umpire?
Last licks for the Yankees!
Benny the K is in.
...and get the job done with one pitch
He's earned Joe Torre's trust you know.
Umpire has nothing to do this afternoon.
Miggy does hit foul balls well.
Ball game over.
No one wins.
And that's it ... the game ends in a tie. :(

The Umpire?
Ironically, becoming an umpire is probably the only way Colter Bean will ever make it in the major leagues.
